2002) Escalade®, Inc. (NASDAQ:
ESCA), reports its wholly owned subsidiary, Escalade® Sports, on April 9th
was awarded the following prestigious awards from Sears, Roebuck and Company;

Partners in Progress
The "Hardlines Vendor of
the Year" award is the highest honor given to Sears vendors and recognizes
Escalade® Sports as demonstrating the highest achievement in partnership with
Sears.
Sears honored it's top suppliers at the company's annual "Partners in Progress"
event held at Sears' headquarters. Sears bestowed the "Partners in Progress"
award this year on fewer than 110 of more than 10,000 suppliers.
"Sears suppliers are critical to the success of our company as we strive to make
our stores even more focused on delivering the goods and services our customers
expect," said Sears Chairman and CEO Alan J. Lacy. "Of the thousands of
suppliers with whom we do business, our Partners in Progress recipients have
demonstrated the highest level of commitment, quality and leadership -
attributes we strive to achieve in everything we do at Sears."
Over the past 30 years, Escalade® Sports has received the P.I.P. award 22 times,
quite an outstanding accomplishment. 2001 marks their third consecutive year
receiving the Sears P.I.P. award.
